​A Leading Global Retailer based in Feltham is seeking a 2nd Line IT Infrastructure Analyst to join their IT team on a permanent basis. You will provide support services to all employees using technical, service management and interpersonal skills. This would be the ideal role for someone already within an Infrastructure team wanting excellent progression or someone who is in a 2nd Line Support team looking to step into an Infrastructure team.

ABOUT THE ROLE

The IT Infrastructure Analyst will daily manage the Active Directory and other IT support problems and issues, assist and report to the IT Infrastructure Manager. The individual will also play a key role to manage the current VMWare environment, in depth knowledge of Active directory, Citrix, VMware and server infrastructure is essential.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Windows Server 2008 to 2012R2 (both setup and maintenance)

  • Office 365 administration and management

  • General hardware and networking knowledge TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP

  • Image deployment using SCCM

  • Windows 10 OS support

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Microsoft certification or relevant Experience

  • Office 365 /Azure Administration or relevant Experience

  • CCNA or relevant Experience

  • Desktop and Server Hardware – 2nd line

  • Microsoft Desktop and Server Operating Systems

  • Active Directory (Essential)

  • VMware (Essential)

  • Service Management Practices (ITIL) - Advantageous

KPIs/MEASURES OF PERFORMANCE:

  • Responsiveness to calls logged through call management system

  • Calls dealt with promptly, follow up on unresolved issues until completion

  • Assist in daily administration of Support Area

  • Perform daily operations checks as per documented process

  • Ensure all processes and procedures are adhered to and where possible improved

  • Familiarisation with IT Technical processes and procedures to be followed in management of IT software and hardware resources. Also be fully conversant with Business IT policy and monitor and report to management regarding adherence

  • Monitor all server backups from 3rd party supplier.

  • Ensure orders for Software & Hardware are followed up to delivery to user

  • Ensure all software installations are recorded and license availability verified

  • Ensure requests for new hardware are actioned using company imaging/ deployment solution

  • Report to appropriate manager any software process violation

  • Management of Microsoft licensing
