​This Global Music Company located in Camden London are looking for IT Infrastructure & Development Manager to join their team on a permanent basis. Currently, they are operating 50% hybrid way of working, with employees attending office Tuesdays and Thursdays + 1 other day every other week.

ABOUT THE ROLE

The IT Infrastructure & Development Manager is a key role in the company. Utilising their technical and managerial experience, they lead the UK business's IT and software development functions and work in collaboration with other departments and the global (US and Canada) tech teams on projects to further the UK business’s internal and external tech and software capabilities.

This is a hands-on role with regards to owning and maintaining all aspects of IT support and technological operations for the UK business, whilst also overseeing and providing managerial support to the UK Software Development team. The IT Infrastructure & Development Manager strives for excellence and ensures business-critical systems are always reliable, accessible, and scalable to the adapting needs of the international jukebox business.

Responsibilities:

  • Support in providing 99.5% IT infrastructure availability for the company.

  • Provide daily operations and systems support to personnel, including installation, configuration, and ongoing usability of system hardware and software, and troubleshooting hardware and software issues in person, remotely, and via phone.

  • Provide support for company-wide IT infrastructure in alignment/collaboration with the global corporate IT team.

  • Conduct daily network and server backup operations.

  • Translate complex data results into easily understood reports and business insights.

  • Prepare and deliver operational or project progress reports to senior management and other key stakeholders.

  • Provide production support to servers’ systems in relation to client-facing assets, and continuously work to identify opportunities to improve their service and productivity levels and align with corporate standards.

  • Oversee and analyse all technology operations for all departments and evaluate them according to established goals and business requirements, identifying areas in need of improvement and making recommendations for upgrades, reconfigurations, and/or new systems to senior management.

  • Advise on UK business hardware and software requirements in relation to OpEx and CapEx, and continuously evaluate efficiency and cost-effectiveness of current systems with other market options,

  • Lead the UK Development / IT department and manage and mentor a small (currently 3) team of software developers.

  • Act as the lead SME for the UK IT space, inclusive of infrastructure and software development.

  • Act as the bridge between the UK Development / IT team and US/Canadian software team counterparts.

  • Work with the UK Leadership team to drive and integrate wider global initiatives in the UK market

  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge and awareness of new and alternative technologies and evaluate their potential effectiveness at meeting business needs against current technologies, and recommend changes/improvements.

  • Play a proactive and leading role in assessing and advocating for data protection and system security practices and principles that are compliant with relevant ISO standards, and work in collaboration with relevant departments to improve current practices.

Required Qualifications/Experience:

  • 5+ years’ experience in computer networks and systems maintenance.

  • 5+ years’ experience on current network operating systems.

  • 5+ years’ experience managing a small technical team.

  • Experience managing a software development team advantageous.

  • Certification and/or recognised formal training in a relevant IT discipline preferred.

Experience with:

  • Microsoft server environment

  • Linux server environment

  • Microsoft Domain management, Microsoft Server 2012+, Microsoft SQL 2012 +

  • Networking: Cisco/HP networking, ASA Firewalls, switches and VLANS

  • Network troubleshooting

  • Server and SAN hardware configuration and management

  • VMware vSphere/Hyper-V

  • Mac OS and Windows 7, 10, 11 support

  • CRM and service desk systems

  • Public cloud providers, AWS
