Desktop Support Engineer

£27,000- £35,000 per annum

H&R Talent are seeking a Desktop Support Engineer on a permanent basis for an IT Services company based in the City of London. You will be responsible for providing sole on-site support for a Management Consultancy based near Mayfair. It is anticipated that you will work 9am-12:30 on-site (Mayfair) and in the afternoons, you will be based back at the IT Services company (City) where you will provide remote/ email/ phone support for your client. The ideal candidates will be expected to have solid 2nd line skills and will be able to escalate to the infrastructure team should you need too.
Essential technical skills required:
*Windows 7/8
*Window Server 2008/ 2012
*Active Directory and Exchange 2010/ 2013 administration
*General IT admin; Leavers, joiners, IT inventory, documentation
*Image and build workstations
*SQL admin
*Setting up video conferences
*Monitor IT hardware onsite
*Manage disk encryption, antivirus deployments and monitoring of AV and systems
*Previous experience within an IT Services/MSP is highly desirable but not essential
The role will be extremely varied from providing on-site desktop support, as well as building and troubleshooting technical issues to do with the general IT. Your role will also be responsible for providing client account management, taking ownership of issues and assisting them and guiding them with regards to upgrades, migrations, recommendations or issues they may face with their IT. The ideal candidate will have a passion for IT and possess excellent people skills as this will be a client facing role!
