Title: IT Team Lead
Salary: £50- £60k
Location: City of London
A fantastic opportunity as a hands- on Team Lead has come up on a permanent basis within an established and continually growing Financial IT Services company based in the City of London. The role will be split between 70% technical and 30% team lead, technically you will be expected to have solid 3rd line skills and have previous experience in a team lead role of some capacity.
Team Leader Responsibilities
• Act as technical escalation point for 2nd Line engineers and service desk.
• Mentor/ train engineers
• Manage whereabouts and cover when required in conjunction with Service Desk Team Leader
• Develop team members’ skills, both technical and customer facing
• Hold team meetings to keep team appraised of company developments
• Uphold company core values and share with direct reports
• Manage and oversee tasks handed to your team
• Hold regular 1:2:1 with direct reports ensuring any concerns are resolved or escalated internally
• Ensure client feedback issues are addressed promptly and effectively
• Manage and deliver annual review process with all direct reports
• Support Account Manager or other management team member in resolving issues of client dissatisfaction
Technical responsibilities
• Running small projects
• Provide technical and commercial advice on systems changes as appropriate to clients
• Provide 1st line, 2nd line and 3rd line technical support to clients via telephone, email and remote support tool across multiple platforms
• Review and develop products and services
• Provide Pre sales support to the sales team and Account Managers
• Log all service incidents in the company service desk package and ensure all entries are accurate and up to date
• Document resolutions of all incidents
• Adhere to companies targeted SLAs
• Assist with client road maps as necessary.
Essential skills required
• Strong Microsoft Server/desktop
• Window Server
• Exchange/O365
• Active Directory
• Pc, laptop & server builds
• iPhones, Blackberry’s and tablet experience
• VMware/ Hyper-V admin, Backups and Monitoring
• Networking (Cisco)- routers, switches etc, configuring Vlan’s
• Demonstrable leadership experience
Desirable not essential
• Previous experience within an IT Services/MSP is highly desirable.
• Bloomberg, Reuters, Factset and datastream
