H&R Talent are seeking an Operations Manager on a permanent basis for an IT Services company based in the City of London. You will take on a varied and interesting role, where you will be responsible for managing a team of 10 Engineers, some of these engineers are based on-site full time, others are Roaming Engineers. Some of your management duties will entail appraisals, visits to site (London only), account management etc. The role will be roughly 70- 80% management and 20- 30% technical.

The main purpose of your role will be to structure, develop and manage the 10 Engineers to maximise revenue, profitability, client satisfaction and employee engagement. You will be working with Professional Services clients; predominantly within the Financial and Legal sector all which offices are based in and round the City and Mayfair.

Key Responsibilities:
*Provide leadership, development and support for the Engineers
*Act as a Technical Escalation point for the Engineers
*Identify and implement improvements in working procedures to improve Engineer efficiency, profitability and client service
*Monitor & report on Engineer’s performance, identify areas for improvement and implement improvement plans
*Perform annual appraisals for the Engineers, identify individual training and development needs and implement ongoing training
*Liaise with the Management Team to represent Engineers and improve business and customer outcomes
*Assist with Project Management as directed by Line Manager
*Follow up and deal with any client complaints
*Maintain oversight of Engineers tickets, ensuring they are being completed correctly and in a timely manner.

Desirable skills:
*Proven experience managing technical staff for an MSP is highly desirable

The technical environment entails: Window Server 2008/ 2012, Exchange 2010/ 2013, Active Directory, Pc, laptop & server builds, iPhones, Blackberry’s and tablet experience, VMware/ Hyper-V admin, Backups and Monitoring, Networking (Cisco).
