Senior IT Engineer
Central London based
Up to £40,000 per annum

H&R Talent are seeking a Senior IT Engineer on a permanent basis for a IT & Telecommunications provider in Central London. The ideal candidate will have cross- platform experience with both Mac and Windows, roughly 60% Mac and 40% Windows based support, but is important that you have solid experience of working with back-end Windows based infrastructure. This is an all-encompassing role, 1st-3rd Line support and deployments and will be an extremely varied role, you will be involved in the full lifecycle of projects, from the spec & design, through to implementation of client’s solutions.

Key Technical Skills:
*MAC OS desktop 10.6-10.11
*Windows Server 2003 R2- 2012 R2
*Google Apps, Office 365, Exchange
*SAN experience, although will consider someone with NAS experience
*Casper- MDM (Mobile Device Management)
*VMWare or Hyper-V
*Networking experience with Switches, routers, firewalls
*Previous experience within an MSP is highly desirable but not essential

Another dimension to the role when be working closely with the Account Manager and Sales team when scoping & specing solutions for the client to improve and stabilise their infrastructure, network, storage or internet for instance, taking into accounts budget and delivering a scalable and future resistant solution. You will also working closely with the support team to ensure they have sufficient information to support to the client.

This will be a client-facing role and travel will be required to their London based clients, once per week/ once bi weekly, (no need for car, all their clients are reachable by the tube), therefore excellent people skills are a must and the ability to deal with people at all levels is paramount. You will be working within the Projects team reporting to the Head of Technical & Projects and working with a project team of 3 where there is a buddy system in place, you will of course be joining a wider IT team. You will be working with a wide variety of their end clients from Designer, Financial & Education to mention a few.

The hours of work are Monday to Friday, although the office hours are 8- 6:30pm, there is a degree of flexibility as to what hours you would like to do, whether that be: 8am-4:30pm, 8:30am-5pm, 9am-5:30pm, 9:30am- 6pm.
