Service Desk Analyst

Fixed-term 6 month contract

H&R Talent are seeking a Service Desk Analyst for a Law Firm based in Central London on a fixed-term 6 month contract basis. Day to day you will be providing 1st Line IT Service Desk support, recording all incidents in the IT Service Desk database and ensuring either first call resolution or escalation.

Essential Key skills:

*Experience of Windows XP/7

*Understanding of the basic concepts of IP networking and ethernet cabling.

*Understanding of the basic concepts of virtualisation, Cloud computing, and online service delivery

*Understanding of the concepts of Windows Active Directory domains

*Proficient use of Microsoft Office, particularly Word


*Workstation Image/Build creation

*Understanding of the concepts of shared centralised storage

*Knowledge of mobile technology (ideally Blackberry handsets and infrastructure)

*Knowledge of Microsoft SharePoint

*Understanding of the concepts of Microsoft SQL Server and RDBMS principals

*Experience of providing support via remote control applications

*Experience of working in a Legal/Professional services environment

The core hours are 09:00-17:30, Monday to Friday; however, you will be required to work shifts of either (08:30-17:00) or (10:30-19:00) depending on team needs.

Ideally you will have previous legal specific experience and immediately available to interview and start.
