An exciting opportunity has arisen for a 3rd Line Technical Support Engineer in an established accounting firm based in South London. You will be the escalation point for all IT support queries and work with various support teams.
Responsibilities:
Work closely with Service Delivery Lead/Manager, Operations Manager and other engineers where 3rd line support is required.
System builds, configuration and installation (remote or on-site);
Respond to either support team or end user software or hardware queries via email, phone or face to face.
Keeping all assigned escalated tickets up to date and client communicated with regularly.
Diligent documentation of knowledgebase and procedures
Qualifications/Skills:
Prior experience within a second or third-line technical support role.
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Server and PC operating systems
Good working knowledge of Network skills including advanced firewall, wireless, VPN
Microsoft ISA server
Microsoft Active Directory
Microsoft SQL
Microsoft Exchange
Microsoft Office365 (Hybrid)
Microsoft IIS
Advanced TCP/IP skills
Backup Technologies
VMWare Hypervisor
SAN, fiber channel, iSCSI and NFS
Some cloud experience is ideal- Azure/AWS
