​A Full Service National Law Firm based in London with a diverse client base who prides itself on providing market leading advice across a broad range of sectors and markets are seeking a Business Systems Analyst to join their team on a permanent basis to work with some of the UK’s most interesting clients.

About the role

The Business Systems Analyst will analyse specific parts of the firm’s business processes with a view to improving efficiency. This will involve studying a variety of business requirements, workflows and the firm’s existing technological systems. The analyst will make recommendations to the Head of IT or IT Programme Manager on technical development projects that will improve business efficiency in line with the firm’s overall business strategy.

This position will suit a solutions-focused individual with strong experience in process improvement and good technical skills. He or she will be comfortable leading all aspects of technical & process delivery.

Responsibilities:

  • Proactive Business Analysis planning to determine activities necessary to identify and define the relevant stakeholders for specific projects or business objectives

  • Engaging with the relevant stakeholders across the business (legal or business services) for requirements gathering and documentation

  • Working with the IT Programme Manager on prioritisation of business requirements across the firm

  • Managing and capturing the requirements log throughout the design phase of any relevant project.

  • Producing As-Is and To-Be process maps including any workflows that require technical data mapping

  • Determine the effectiveness of proposed solutions including the identification of any associated risks (i.e.Cost/Benefit & Impact analysis) including cost and risk avoidance, financial & non-financial benefits

  • Support the firm’s current business systems, including TRE 3E and where necessary, run workshops to advise on best technology to use which may include making the most of existing technology or IT platforms, or a new/recommended solution

  • Producing any non-technical documents for the end-users/trainers

  • Working with Trainers on End User training

  • Facilitating and running UAT Testing

  • Business Project/Workflow documentation
