An emerging global marketplace are looking for a skilled and professional Desktop Support Engineer to join their IT team. You will be an essential part of the helpdesk team and ensure the staff receives the help they need with their computer equipment. You should possess extensive knowledge and experience to troubleshoot problems and errors and be quick to respond to these computer issues. You should be well aware of the technical difficulties and how to resolve them in the best possible way.
Responsibilities:
Provide 1st and 2nd level support
Provide technical assistance regarding any operating system issues.
Setup new workstations for new staff members
Install applications and software updates
Assist staff with printer setup, passwords, and mobile phone connections
Aid in troubleshooting the Corporate LAN, Wi-Fi and Client connectivity
Escalate calls to other members of the IT Department
Qualifications/Skills:
Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or relevant field preferred
Exceptional knowledge of working with Windows/ Linux and Mac OS systems.
Ability to monitor and diagnose Desktop issues.
Proficient knowledge of antivirus software.
Strong knowledge of Active Directory.
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Good problem-solving and multitasking skills.
