An International Bank based in the City of London are looking for an Infrastructure Analyst to join their team for a 12-month contract.

ABOUT THE ROLE
Responsibilities:
Assist with the management of the Service Desk and Change Management System (ManageEngine)
Maintain, monitor, and support the applications and infrastructure environment
Provide feedback and recommendations on requirements based on system health check results
Integrate solutions with other applications and platforms based on business requirements
Perform routine maintenance tasks for infrastructure systems such as backups, patch management and hot fixes
Perform capacity workload modelling and availability analysis for a variety of platforms and environments
Develop, maintain, recommend, document and support tools and utilities to provide capacity planning and management
Troubleshoot problems by analyzing root causes and evaluating multiple options
Report security issues when appropriate and gather required information
Evaluate future technologies and make recommendations for software and hardware upgrades
Analyze and implement network software or hardware changes
Generate processes to ensure appropriate WAN, LAN, device privileges and access are granted, ensuring data integrity and security is met
Ensure all necessary network security updates, patches, and preventive measures are in place
Support the day-to-day operations of the banks IT systems and applications
Manage and support start-of-day and end-of-day procedures ensuring the bank is fully operational during business hours
Maintenance of Windows server and Unix based servers
O365 and MS Azure administration
Maintenance of information security controls covering safeguards and controls on the bank’s network
Support the Bank’s VMware and Citrix virtual infrastructure
Maintenance of the bank’s Business Continuity and Disaster recovery plan and procedure
Lead desktop and helpdesk support efforts, making sure all desktop applications, workstations, and related equipment problems are resolved in a timely manner with limited disruptions.
Skills Required:
Very good VMware and Citrix administration experience
Windows and Linux Servers administration and support skills
Experience with scripting and automation tools
Experience in Calypso treasury application support is an advantage
Experience in the following Applications – T24, Oracle, IntelliMatch, Datastore, SWIFT, etc
Strong knowledge of systems and networking software, hardware, and networking protocol
Strong knowledge of implementing and effectively developing helpdesk and IT operations best practices, including experience of security, storage, data protection, and disaster recovery protocols
ISO 27001 experience is an advantage
Ability to set up and configure windows and Linux servers
Very good virtualisation, Active Directory, GPO, Access control and LAN/WAN experience
Familiarity with backup and recovery software and methodologies
Great at organising, prioritising, and multitasking
Any Automation (RPA) platform experience (UiPath) is desirable
Analytical thinker and problem solver
Outstanding organizational and time management skills
Excellent troubleshooting, problem-solving and task management skills
Able to work with little or no supervision, even out-of-hours
