IT Service Desk Analyst

An Oil and Gas Company based in Aberdeen is looking for an IT Service Desk Analyst to join their IT team and will be directly reporting to the Service Desk Manager. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the overall technical support and management of helpdesk concerns of all users across the company.

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for technical support via telephone, email, and remote access control.

  • Day to day management of service desk tickets, logging updates, issuing comms.

  • The role will jointly ensure the smooth operation of the Service Desk Team, ensuring our core help desk processes are adhered to; Triage, Escalations, Follow up, Resolutions.

  • Supporting and implementing IT training sessions and assisting with IT improvement projects.

  • Attend and support the Head of ITSM in weekly CAB & ITSM meetings by updating changes and making notes.

  • Complete BAU changes as requested.

  • Liaise with external suppliers such as Nomis, Microsoft and IT equipment suppliers to resolve queries.

Key Technology Skills:

  • Experience with Helpdesk Ticketing Systems.

  • Experience with Windows 7, 10

  • Experience with remote applications such as Virtual Desktop, OpenVPN.

  • Office 365 administration.

  • Operating System & Application Deployment and Updating.

Key Skills and Experience:

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Flexible approach to problem-solving.

  • Experience working with / understanding of ITIL.

  • Confident with IT Hardware & peripherals / desk setups.
