A Leading Pharmaceutical Company are looking for a permanent IT Technician to join their team in Bishop’s Stortford, Essex.

The company is fully Good Distribution Practice (GDP) compliant offering specialist next-day scheduled deliveries and direct delivery to primary/secondary care or wholesalers. Their facilities are fully MHRA and Home Office-approved.
ABOUT THE ROLE
They are currently have an exciting opportunity for an IT Technician to join them and provide the business with 1st line IT support on both its IT infrastructure and ERP system. This role needs to deal and manage all IT tickets (from inception to completion).
Roles & Responsibilities:
To prioritise and manage open cases, minimising employees downtime.
To be the first port of call for any issues or changes required, such as forgotten passwords, viruses, or email issues.
To monitor and maintain the company’s systems and networks.
To become an Orderwise super user and take responsibility for all new development requests and certain IT related functions within Orderwise ERP system.
To support all sites with all IT functions.
Set up new users’ accounts and profiles (MFA setup) along with associated hardware.
To enrol all devices into their Intune solution (with encryption and security updates).
Ensure all devices have remote access.
To diagnose hardware and software faults. Replace parts as required.
To work with employees to identify computer problems and advise on the solution. Talk to staff or clients through a series of actions, either face-to-face or over the phone, to help set up systems or resolve issues.
To install and configure all devices (mobiles/laptops and PCs) to high standard (secure/encrypted).
To analyse call logs, to spot common trends and underlying problems.
To update self-help documents and allow employees to try to fix problems themselves.
To test and fix faulty IT equipment.
To liaise with the IT hardware support team and Orderwise software support team to ensure all new enquiries are prioritised accordingly and managed to completion. (Software roll-outs / New offices / New applications). Person Specification:
Previous 1st line IT support experience- Essential
Orderwise experience- Desirable
A strong all round technical background & current knowledge
Logical thinker
Good analytical and problem solving skills
Good interpersonal and customer care skills
Good accurate records keeping
Able to explain complex information in simple, clear terms to a non-IT personnel
