A Leading Housing Association located in London are looking for M365 Engineer to join their team on a permanent basis. This role is hybrid working with flexible base locations across England.

The company's IT Team is an integral part of their Group Technology and Change function, and works closely with both business and technology teams across the organisation. Key areas of responsibility for the team include management of their technology and application ecosystem, governance and security, commercial management, technical architecture and customer service.
ABOUT THE ROLE
The Modern Work Engineer (M365 Engineer) is responsible for the management, administration and operational support of the IT Cloud Infrastructure of the company (and remaining on-prem Hybrid solutions) to enable to the Group and its operating companies to achieve their business objectives.
Key Accountabilities:
Management, administration and operational support of the M365 estate.
Influence and build strong M365 engineering culture by developing best practices
Provide support to the M365 Collaboration Services and other Group Technology & Change teams.
Proactive event, problem, change and configuration management
Act as an escalation point and mentor for other IT staff, with regards to their M365 estate.
Ensuring all information recording in the service management system is complete, accurate and meaningful
Produce a high standard of documentation and reports to support all aspects of the service lifecycle
Follow the Microsoft M365 roadmap and advise of upcoming changes and developments that may impact the company
Researching technology trends, emerging best practices and roadmaps and ensuring these are made available as inputs to the IT strategy and future designs
Proactive identification and contribution to risk & audit management
Develop a strong understanding of the full M365 suite and identify components that they can leverage
Self-identify skill gaps and establish learning plans to meet the needs of the business
Experience and pre-qualification criteria
Essential:
Microsoft 365 Administrator Associate certifications (e.g. Modern Desktop, Messaging, Teams, Identity & Access, Security)
Expert-level skills in Windows 10/11 technologies (AutoPilot, AlwaysOn VPN, BitLocker, MDM and MAM, Defender ATP, Windows Virtual Desktop, System Centre)
Expert-level skills in Microsoft 365 Collaboration Services (O365, Exchange, Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint)
Extensive proven track record in Platform security - including defence in depth, secure by default, updates and patching, secure boundaries, and zero trust.
Certified Cloud Professional certification or equivalent level of experience in Cloud Engineering.
Experience in formal change processes and documenting change.
Outstanding verbal and written skills to communicate with stakeholders at all levels and able to speak about technical subjects in non-technical language.
Proven experience of supporting a large multi-userbase environment, in a technical IT role.
Positive work ethic, organised, detail-oriented and possessing the ability to lead by example.
Display the ability to proactively identify, investigate and resolve issues and incidents within the estate with minimal supervision
A knowledge-sharing attitude by default and experience working positively in a dynamic team.
Ability to support issues and perform system status checks out of hours as or when required.
Ability to converse and contribute in discussion forms alongside equally highly skilled and knowledgeable engineers and architects to plan and influence
Have up-to-date knowledge of Microsoft Online Services cloud platforms: Microsoft 365 (including Azure Active Directory, Azure AD Premium, Microsoft 365 E5, Microsoft Azure, Dynamics 365 and Power Platform) as well as different Microsoft licensing models.
Desirable:
Experience in Data Loss Prevention, Conditional Access, Power Platform, Exchange Online Protection
Microsoft 365 Certified: Enterprise Administrator Expert or equivalent experience
Experience with contributing to projects and work-streams using Microsoft DevOps
Experience of working within an RBAC security model and contributing towards the maintenance of such a model. Azure Identity Protection and Entitlement Management also desirable.
