Network

Network Management can come hand-in-hand with Infrastructure Management, but we like to categorise it separately. Network engineers and managers provide a platform for sharing information between computers and devices within a company. Managing network traffic and identifying potential issues and intruders are part of the Network Team's day-to-day. It can also involve securing the connection from the outside and segregation for services not appropriate for access via the standard network.

Job roles relating to this kind of work will usually have a job title such as:

  1. Network Engineer/Analyst

  2. Network Architect

  3. Network Administrator

Qualifications are not usually necessary, but experience within the field is mandatory. Suitable candidates may have completed Cisco certifications (CCNA, CCNP, CCDE), Palo Alto certifications (PCNSE, PCNSA), or other network accreditations.
