ABOUT THE ROLE

They are looking for a C++ Software Engineer to join the Market Data team in London. This role represents a great opportunity to join a collaborative team which develops scalable, high performance market data feeds for teams across the company.

Alongside being a great technologist, the successful candidate will enjoy engaging with stakeholders across the business to gather requirements, understand priorities and ensure that the highest value opportunities are being targeted by the team.

The main elements of the position include:

  • Owning the development of new in-house market data feed handlers and related systems.

  • Support & maintain software built by the team.

  • Communicating with business users and other engineering teams to capture new requirements and collaborate on change projects. 

Requirements:

  • Experience of developing with modern C++ on Linux systems.

  • Thorough understanding of object orientated programming, computing fundamentals and data structures.

  • Good principals and hands on experience with writing scalable multi-threaded software.

  • A passion for development and demonstrable experience working with a variety of platforms.

  • An ability to prioritise and manage own time, over multiple work streams in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

  • Ability to work independently and within a team.

  • Experience with Kubernetes / OpenShift / Docker / Podman is a plus.
