The Global Investment Company is looking for an enthusiastic Cyber Security Engineer. The team focusses on continually improving global defences to secure the most sensitive systems and data, identifying new threats and vulnerabilities and developing systems, tools and standards to make the business more resilient, enabling to capture new digital growth opportunities safely. They are looking for people who are passionate about Cyber Security, with broad technical knowledge and a desire and ability to use automation to mitigate Cyber risks.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Research, test and threat hunt to identify new threats and vulnerabilities

  • Evolve the detection platform through the addition of monitoring for anomalous behaviour, indicators of compromise and configuration non-compliance

  • Design, build and secure new systems, technologies and platforms across the enterprise

  • Influence, develop and codify security designs, architectures and standards

  • Analyse events, handle incidents effectively and automate incident response processes to improve the reliability and speed of response

  • Demonstrable expert level scripting / coding in Python / Ruby / Powershell / C# / Java / GO or equivalent

  • Extensive knowledge of technical security risks across operating systems, networks and applications

  • Experience integrating, managing and tuning security tooling in the development lifecycle and in cloud-native environments

  • Experience securing infrastructure at scale with configuration management / security compliance / policy as code tooling

  • Relevant technical security certifications such as OSCP, OSWE, and OSCE considered nice-to-haves

  • Experience with security detection and response automation systems from a blue team perspective (SIEM, XDR, SOAR etc)
