A Leading Hotel and Real Estate Development Company located in Wokingham is seeking an IT Executive to be part of their team on a permanent basis.

ABOUT THE COMPANY

The company has become a leading owner and operator specialising in the local leisure and corporate communities in the South East and currently hold a portfolio of 5 venues. Although their portfolio consists of hotel assets, they also have past experience and involvement with commercial properties such as serviced office space, gyms, and restaurants. Their mission is to incorporate all of these services within the hotel venue to provide multi use facilities including bedrooms, meeting and conference business, serviced offices, health and fitness and F&B offerings.

The company has the experience to operate multi use facilities aimed at 50% use by the local community and 50% use by inbound corporate and leisure users focusing on hotel properties with attractive risk-adjusted return.

ABOUT THE ROLE

The IT Executive will be involved with overseeing the configuration, enhancement, support and integrations of the group’s Hospitality Applications and associated hardware. Primarily this will be the Point-of-Sale application, Property Management System, Sales & Catering, Restaurant reservations systems, Reporting & Analytics tools and Guest Services Management Solutions.

This role will be responsible for providing the daily support and projects related, but not limited to, the above applications. Additionally, this role will also maintain inventory of all hardware products and provide the operational teams with the required equipment and responsible for Information Technology issues, products, and services at the property. 

Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • To always act in a professional and courteous manner, representing the company's highest standards of business conduct; exhibits a positive attitude, sharing information with co-workers as appropriate and works to promote a cooperative, productive teamwork environment.

  • To fully understand all the relevant systems (Opera, Simphony etc.) to know their capabilities and limitations.

  • It is essential to understand the business to help develop and implement applications/systems to work more efficiently.

  • To assist with the strategic and tactical support of key software systems.

  • To ensure that support requests are tackled in a timely fashion and assisting with testing and deployments.

  • To maintain systems support documentation, procedures, and other information useful to the smooth & efficient operation of information systems.

  • To participate in technology planning and strategy activities to ensure business objectives are being addressed.

  • To develop and maintain relationships with business partners both internally & externally.

  • Assist with the implementation of new applications and/or enhancements or upgrades of existing applications/systems (e.g upgrades to Opera / Simphony)

  • To be proactive in identifying critical business, technical and/or operational issues and then assist in driving issues to closure.

  • To assist in managing, prioritising, and delivering multiple initiatives.

  • To work with the senior team to facilitate the development of functional and technical requirements.

  • To provide support and assistance with training on the company's applications like Opera and Simphony as and when required.

  • To assist with out of hours support 

  • Travel required across other hotel locations

Prerequisites:

  • Excellent communication and listening skills.

  • Ability to work under pressure. 

  • Excellent organisational and prioritisation skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.

  • Must be mature, pleasant, courteous, cooperative and an enthusiastic team player.

  • Must be flexible in working hours, including weekends, evenings and holidays.
