​A prestigious Financial Services company based in Belfast is currently looking for an experienced IT Manager to join their team that will be responsible for overseeing the organisation’s IT functions. This role will be identifying and endorsing new technical solutions that will improve the end user experience within the company, develop and maintain smooth IT operations, ensure timely implementation of system upgrades, and must have the ability to to clearly explain technical matters to non technical users.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversight and management of the company’s internal IT applications, infrastructure, and assets with continuous performance monitoring to agreed service levels

  • Development, implementation, and communication of operational IT processes, including change management, incident and problem management

  • Set-up, configuration, and maintenance of secure network infrastructure for both in-house and remote workers

  • Interface with all employees on a regular basis, solving day-to-day IT issues as well as supporting on key projects such as GDPR or ISO certifications.

  • Identification and recommendation of new technology solutions that add value and enhance user experience and productivity

  • Direct and support timely and efficient implementation of software and hardware upgrades

  • Devising and establishing IT policies and systems that reflect organisational priorities and align to security and governance requirements

  • Actively drive relationships, engagements and improvements outside of the team/function to drive positive team and business benefits

  • Induct and train employees on our systems and ensure compliance with company security protocols

  • Define hardware procurement policies, managing and tracking IT and technology spend within agreed budgets, managing and negotiating 3rd party service providers and vendors

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in managing all IT assets, including networks, software, infrastructure etc. (including both G:Suite and Microsoft environments + Mac and PC hardware configuration)

  • Experience in managing IT environments with high levels of security governance and best practice

  • Knowledgeable in ISO 27001 accreditation

  • Experience in API connectivity, Cloud and Data Warehousing

  • Knowledge and experience of ITIL processes

  • Effective management of stakeholder relationships

  • Ability to convey technical information to non-technical audiences effectively
