A spectacular building located in Edinburgh is looking for an experienced IT Manager that will be responsible for the overall identification and resolution of software and hardware issues. This role will also be responsible for providing technical solutions across the business and will liaise with third-party software vendors. The ideal candidate for this role must have excellent interpersonal skills that would enable them to communicate in a clear and professional manner with both customers and team members.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Meet end-user needs and provide administrative assistance to ensure system functionality, contributing to a great guest experience.

  • Manage IT and computer systems company-wide.

  • Review, design, develop, implement, and coordinate systems, policies, and procedures.

  • Ensure security of data, network access and backup systems.

  • Identify problematic areas and implement strategic solutions in a timely and cost effective manner.

  • Audit systems and assess their outcomes.

  • Liaise with external Network manager to ensure maximum effectiveness of their service.

  • Negotiate and communicate with third-party software providers for new software's and troubleshooting.

  • Preserve assets, information security and control structures.

  • Handle annual budget and ensure cost effectiveness.

Essential Skills, Experience and Qualifications:

  • Proven working experience in a customer facing environment as an IT Manager, or at a similar level for 3+ years.

  • Excellent knowledge of technical management, information analysis and of computer hardware and software systems.

  • Hands-on experience with computer networks, network administration and network installation.

  • Detailed and up to date knowledge of the industry’s best practices processes.

  • Strong technical problem solving for software and hardware.

  • Clear communication skills.

  • Strong technical problem solving and communication skills

'Nice to have' skills, Experience and Qualifications:

  • BSc in computer science or relevant field.

  • Previous working knowledge of Nexudus, Tevalis and Collins.

  • Experienced in a fast-paced customer focussed environment, such as hospitality or retail.
