A Global Sports Car Manufacturer located in the City of London is seeking for an IT Operations Manager that will be responsible for ensuring the efficient usage of technology across the business for the improvement of the organisation’s overall business performance. The ideal candidate will also make certain that the IT services is able to provide a high level of end user satisfaction.

Role Objectives

  • IT Service Management: Ensure that IT services align with and support business goals and manage the delivery of IT services to meet business requirements.

  • Infrastructure Management: Oversee the maintenance and management of the IT infrastructure, including servers, storage, networks, and databases.

  • Security Management: Ensure the security of the IT infrastructure and systems and implement security policies and procedures.

  • Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity: Develop and implement disaster recovery and business continuity plans to minimise the impact of disruptions to IT services.

  • Budget Management: Manage the IT operation budget and allocate resources effectively to meet business needs.

  • Staff Management: Supervise and mentor IT operation staff and oversee their professional development.

  • Project Management: Lead and manage IT projects, including planning, resource allocation, and risk management.

  • IT Policy and Procedure Development: Work with IT Lead to develop and implement IT policies and procedures to ensure the effective and efficient use of technology.

  • Vendor Management: Manage relationships with IT vendors, negotiate contracts, and ensure the delivery of quality IT services.

  • IT Strategy Development: work with IT Lead to develop and implement IT strategies that align with the overall business objectives and ensure the effective use of technology.

Knowledge

  • Education: A bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field is required.

  • Technical Skills: A strong understanding of IT infrastructure, networks, databases, and security is essential for an IT Operations Manager. Additionally, knowledge of IT service management and project management are also required.

  • Industry Certifications: Relevant industry certifications, such as ITIL, CISSP, or PMP is preferred.

  • Experience: minimum 5 years of experience working in IT, with a focus on operation management, is required.

  • Communication and Interpersonal Skills: The ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders is required.

  • Strategic Thinking: it is also required to have a strategic mindset, with the ability to develop and implement IT strategies that align with the overall business objectives.

  • Mandarin speaking is a benefit
