A global investment management company located in the City of London is looking for a Network Security Engineer to join their Global Network And Firewall Team on a permanent basis. As a Senior Technical Member, your primary responsibility will be to design, implement & support the Palo Alto Security environment in accordance with the team's operating practices.
Responsibilities:
Provide technical leadership and mentoring within a collaborative team
Work with team to define, design and implement secure networking capabilities (SASE)
Pro-actively maintain the network security hardware, applications, and services
Troubleshoot connectivity or performance issues in partnership with technology teams
Conduct upgrades and patching of the network and security devices and applications
Respond to emergency situations and perform effective troubleshooting during production Incidents.
Provide & maintain design and deployment documentation
Management of Control, Audit and Risk routines.
Qualifications/Requirements:
Experience with Palo Alto Prisma Access and associated product suite
Experience configuring and troubleshooting IPsec tunnels on firewalls (Palo Alto preferred)
SD-WAN Experience (Palo Alto and Silver Peak Preferred)
Cisco CCNA – Switching and Routing (or equivalent work experience)
Cisco & Meraki - Routing, Switching, IOS upgrading, general troubleshooting
Working experience with the following protocols: OSPF, BGP, VLAN, VRF, IP
Experience with networking in a hybrid-cloud environment (Azure preferred)
WAN Technologies: MPLS, Internet, DWDM
Experience with Illumio
Authentication methodologies, including 2FA, RADIUS, LDAP, AD,
Experience with Wireshark or other protocol analysers
Desirable Skills:
Strong knowledge of all round infrastructure technologies
Demonstrated ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously, to respond to shifting priorities, and to work efficiently under the pressures
General Cloud experience (Azure/VMWare)
Scripting skills (Python/YAML, Terraform)
Strong communication and presentation skills
