A Multinational Commercial Bank located in Northwich is seeking an Oracle Database Administrator to work within the dedicated IT team on a permanent basis with Hybrid working. This role is ideal for someone who has experience in monitoring, developing and maintaining Oracle databases across an organisation.

About the Role
This role will be responsible for managing and administering all of the company's databases including the Windows and Linux platforms they are running on.
Responsibilities:
Monitor database systems to ensure environments are stable and available
Perform maintenance operations on Oracle databases to ensure efficient database operations
Backups, migrations, and restorations of Oracle databases, including Oracle APEX applications
Recover corrupted or lost data in test and production systems from backups
Develop, manage and test database and IS backups and recovery plans, ensuring written processes are in place
Analyse/manage capacity & performance of Oracle application databases, liaising with application developers
Promote / maintain data security and compliance for Oracle databases to meet compliance
Maintain knowledge of current and emerging technologies that support data applications
Maintenance of operational systems may be required outside of normal business hours

Technical requirements:
Oracle 12c or above database experience.
Oracle enterprise manager maintenance and implementation
Oracle WebLogic maintenance and implementation
Knowledge of computer networks / protocols, including Windows & Linux operating systems and shell scripting
Performance tuning & optimisation skills
RMAN Backup and Recovery
